Photography: Random Newcastle
Jun 21st
Sometimes when I go out shooting, I come back with only one or two images that I really like, so I don’t bother making a post. Well, I thought I would round up a couple from just such days, and post a bit of a mixed bag.
As always, comments and constructive criticism welcome :)

Tyne at Dusk
Apr 25th
Last week when we were meant to have some great sunsets due to the volcanic ash, a friend and I headed out along the Tyne to get some shots. Below are a few of the pics, and credit to Paul White for the idea for the reflection shot of the Sage.
As ever, constructive criticism welcome :)

Photography – Prudhoe Castle
Apr 8th
Well, the light nights are officially here finally! A friend of mine Paul and I quite often head out on an evening to go taking pics, but it was a refreshing change not to have to shoot long exposures and night shots now the clocks have gone forward!
We ended up just catching the Golden Hour at Prudhoe Castle. Here are a few of the pics:
As ever, comments and constructive criticism welcome :)

Launched my new photography business
Mar 30th
After taking photographs for a few years as a hobby, and doing weddings for friends etc, I’ve decided to make a bit of a business of it.
Operating with a couple of friends, I’ve spent most of this week pulling together the site for the new business, so if you’re looking for a Newcastle Wedding Photographer , someone to do a shoot with your family or perhaps some portrait shots for yourself then go to the site and have a look at our portfolio and packages :)
Look forward to working with some of you hopefully :)

Wandering in the mist
Jan 19th
I had arranged to go out taking a few pics round the town with a friend of mine tonight, and as luck would have it mist had really set in, which made for a few nice pics :)

Fog on the Tyne
Nov 10th
Looking out the window tonight I could barely see the other side of the street as a thick fog had descended. As I live right on the banks of the Tyne I couldn’t resist doing a few shots of the well known of “Fog on the Tyne”. Click images to enlarge.
Comments and suggestions welcome :)

Photographing Newcastle by Night
Aug 27th
A friend of mine was expecting a new lens today, and as any photographer will tell you once you have a new toy to play with you have to go out and give it a test run. We decided to wait until midnight so the streets were starting to clear for that desolate and empty look, and then headed out to do a few photographs around the town. I was keen to get back down and take a few shots down the river also, after capturing this shot at sunrise a few days ago:

Here are a couple from that trip tonight:
If that hasnt satisfied your thirst for photographs, take a look over to Paul’s site and check out some of his excellent work, especially the holocaust projects.
As ever, comments and suggestions always welcome.

Newcastle Photo Walk
Feb 18th
Went out on my first Newcastle Photo Walk last night with a few of the people from twitter, though sadly there was as many unable to make it as there were in attendance.
We met up in the Starbucks opposite Central station (though i refused to buy anything!) and headed out along the High Level bride to begin with. A wander up past the Ochre Yards and on through the bottom of Gateshead into The Sage, then over the Millenium Bridge to nicely finish with a swift pint in the Pitcher And Piano.
Was great to see @apwestgarth and @PJ again, as well as meet @alistair, @martin88 and @m0php. Hope to meet more people and get more shots on future walks, it was really quite an enjoyable night, with as much craic as there was photo taking :)
A couple of pictures take on the night, click to view larger:
There will be more photos to come, but as I couldn’t sleep last night I thought I would get a couple processed and uploaded.
