Billboard

My photo used on a billboard at Newcastle Central Station

Got notified today that the billboard has gone up with my photo on, and sure enough it has. This was taken as per the client spec, as part of an advertising campaign about their sponsorship for many local companies such as the Durham Cricket Club, Theatre Royal, Lit & Phil amongst others.

Great feeling to have one of my pics be the first thing seen as you walk off the train at Newcastle, my home town. Would love it to have been one of my model shoots or an urbex picture, but I’ll get there eventually! For now I’m just really happy that the client loved the pics, and hopefully there will be more from the rest of the campaign going up in various locations.

Another book cover and a billboard

A good day for my photography, another image sold to be used on a book cover, this time to be used by the author S J Bolton. A preview of the image can be found on the right there. The book will be available soon from http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dead-Scared-S-J-Bolton/dp/0593064151 – This brings the total of book covers with my images to 7, and hopefully more in the pipeline to come soon. This particular image is from a derelict seminary, in one of the corridors.

I’m also waiting on the imminent posting of one of my images used in an advertising campaign taken on a shoot for a corporate client, that should be posted on a billboard in Newcastle Central Station any day now.

Photo published on book cover

Today i got an excellent little piece of news, one of my photos has been used on a book cover, which in itself would be cool but it’s paid work as well which is even better :)

The book is a crime thriller by Mandasue Heller named Two-Faced, and the image going to be used is one I recently took while walking along the Tyne on a foggy night (in fact I went out solely to take pictures, almost didnt, so I’m glad i did in the end)  Here is the image used, and a preview of the cover.

And more info can be found about the book on the publisher’s site.
